Day 1 – Arrive at Kochi and drive to Munnar

Upon arrival, our representative will join you at the Cochin International airport/railway station and will assist you throughout the journey. You will then set out to Munnar, the Tea town of Kerala. It is at a distance of more than a 100 kilometres from Kochi. The 4 hour drive up the winding roads and hair pin bends will be nothing short of exciting. The calming air of the hill station will transport you into a complete holiday mood.

Once you reach Munnar, you will check into the resort. After relaxing and freshening up, you can visit the tea museum, where you will learn about the entire process of tea making, right from picking to packaging.

Later in the evening you can indulge yourself in some shopping in Munnar town. The place is famous for tea (obviously) handmade chocolates and other products like soaps and craft items, and spices. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 2- Sight-seeing in Munnar

On day 2, after breakfast we head out for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar. We cover all major attractions during the day. The Mattuppetty dam and Kundala lake offers visitors with boating opportunity. We also visit the echo point, top station, rose garden, hydel park and Ponthenmedu view point. After noon we visit the Eravikulam National park famous for the Nilgiri Thar. The soft trek up the hill is worth your while as the view from up there is just breath-taking. You can also visit the Chinnakanal Waterfalls. Spend the night relaxing at the resort as it is the final day of your stay in the misty Munnar.

Day 3- Munnar to Alleppey

Early next morning we leave for Alleppey – “The Venice of the East”. The distance of 160+ kilometres will be covered in around 5 hours. You can board the houseboat at around 12:30pm – 1:00pm. The house boat will take you on a cruise through the Vembanadu lake. Explore the scenic backwaters while passing through lagoons, canals, lakes, rivers and inlets. You can enjoy authentic Kerala cuisine on board.  Enjoy the tranquility as the boat cruises through the emerald green waters. The boat moors on the lake for the night by evening. After dark you can enjoy a delicious dinner to the sound of water lapping the side of the boat.

Get a good night’s sleep on the boat with the gentle sway of waters beneath you.

Day 4 – Alleppey to Kochi

The house boat will start cruising again at 8 am and drop you at Alleppey jetty at 9 am. From Alleppey you will travel to Kochi. After a 1-hour journey you can check into the hotel at Kochi.

The urban face of the state, Kochi is much more than that. You can head out to Fort Kochi and visit the Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry palace, Willingdon Island, Chinese Fishing Net, Church of Saint. Francis, Kerala folklore museum and the Fort Kochi beach.

Later in the evening roam around the Jew town, Gujarathi street etc. experiencing the scents and vivid colours and tastes of this city with a unique blend of cultures. You can also do some shopping here.  Overnight at Kochi.

Day 5 – Departure

After breakfast you can explore the city. The lulu mall is a good shopping destination. You could also visit the Ernakulathappan temple.

You will then be dropped off at the airport/ railway station.
