Day 01: Arrive Cochin, Drive to Munnar

You will be welcomed and joined by our executive upon your arrival at the Cochin airport/ Railway station. You will then head on to Munnar which is approximately a 4 hour drive from Cochin. The winding roads up the hill, the changing scenery, the air gradually turning crisp and the slow drop in temperature should let you know that the beautiful experience you were looking for has just begun.  Arrive at Munnar and check into the resort. Later in the evening, visit Tea Museum. Learn how tea is processed from raw fresh tea leaves to its final packaging. You can also visit Munnar town and shop for spices and handmade chocolates. Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 02: Munnar Day Tour

After breakfast we take you on a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar, the tea town of Kerala. The sprawling tea gardens are sure to take your breath away. We visit the Eravikulam National Park to get a glimpse of the Nilagiri Thar. The soft trek up the hill in the middle of the park will be worth your while. We then proceed to visit Mattuppetty Dam, Eco Point, Kundala Lake, Blossom Garden, Pothenmedu View point and Top station. Overnight at the resort.

Day 03: Munnar to Thekkady

On the next morning, we drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110kms / 4 hrs amidst the cardamom hills flanking the road with the occasional waterfalls.  After checking into the resort at Thekkady and having lunch, you can proceed to take a boat ride on the lake and the Periyar dam. During the boat ride that will take approximate 2 hours you can get rare glimpses of wild animals such as elephants, deer and rare birds. The forest department also offers many programs including Periyar tiger trail, nature walk, bamboo rafting, etc. which you can take part in. Overnight stay at Thekkady resort.

Day 04: Thekkady to Alleppey 

After breakfast we set out on an early start to Alleppey. The drive is approximately 5 hour long, covering a distance of around 160kms. The Venice of the East will welcome you with its serene backwaters and mouth watering cuisine. You can board your houseboat by around 1pm. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow canals of the Vembanad lake. Explore the scenic backwaters while passing through lagoons, canals, lakes, rivers and inlets. See the traditional villages and coconut groves from the deck of the boat. After 6pm the houseboat will drop anchor for the day. Enjoy your stay on the houseboat with twinkling stars above and the tranquil waters beneath.

Day 05: Departure from Cochin

The houseboat will start cruising again at 8 am and drop you at Alleppey jetty at 9 am. You will then proceed to Cochin. You will say good bye to Kerala, but we promise, you will do so with a heavy heart and with a promise to return back soon.
